Our
Process
To begin the intervention process is simple, just call AIS
to talk with a trained and professional interventionist.
Call AIS or
email us. As soon as the initial contact is made we can begin to formulate our
best course of action. Fear is the number one roadblock in this process.
Once
initial contact is made with AIS, the intervention specialist will then begin
to plan out an appropriate time and place to meet with the family. This is a time
when the familys questions can be answered and intervention plans ironed
out. We like to think of this as our education phase, as the family will receive
vital education and guidance that is crucial to the success of the intervention
and long term health for the family. The intervention will then be planned out
from beginning to end, so that there are no uncertainties during the intervention
itself.
Once the family, friends and interventionist are all on the same
page and feel comfortable with moving forward, the intervention will then be performed.
It is important to us that the intervention is done in a safe, non threatening
environment for both the family and the addicted person. This is to ensure the
best possible outcome for everyone involved .
As soon as the intervention
is complete, we will then transport the individual to treatment. The appropriate
treatment center will have already been discussed with the family, andarrangements
made ahead of time for our arrival. AIS prefers to be present and accountable
for the transport to ensure that the proper steps are taken and the best possible
care is given.
Once accepted into treatment, AIS will help the family
to monitor progress and help support the addicted person in the tough road ahead.
We wish to make this process as smooth and painless as possible. We recognize
that treatment is only the first step toward freedom from addiction, and that
other steps will need to be taken to ensure long term success. AIS can help with
those decisions and make recommendations as needed.
